Kayla Blasi is the Dean of Campus at Great Hearts Christos Evident Life. Before taking this new role, Kayla was a teacher and leader in the Great Hearts network for eight years. In her years working at Great Hearts, she discovered and developed her love for classical education and the wisdom that it holds.
Kayla lived overseas in Ivory Coast and Morocco for much of her early life. From that young age, Kayla chose to follow Christ. Her childhood was rich with travel and cultural experiences, which she credits for building in her a strong sense of purpose and a deep love for people. In 2014, she moved to the United States and completed her degree in Early Childhood Education from the Christian University, Letourneau, in Texas. She is passionate about educational excellence and while teaching she continued her leadership development at the National Academy of Advanced Teacher Education.
Kayla has been married to her best friend for three years, who she coincidentally met at Great Hearts. In her free time, she enjoys being with family, traveling, photography, and going to sports games with her husband.

Hello, my name is Jayne Bostow, but everyone calls me Jaynie. I was named after my mom who I am a carbon copy of. She was a teacher and had the reputation of being able to train your cat to read. I am the only one of her four daughters that became a teacher. I share that because God picks our names. I look exactly like my mom to a point that people see photos of us and they have to look at the date to know if it is me or her. I never wanted to be a teacher because everyone thought I should be a teacher “like my mom.” I received a degree from Virginia Tech in Elementary Education in 1981 but did not start teaching for 6 more years.
Well, I became a teacher in 1987 in a small Christian school that our church was starting. After many years of playing church that year, after teaching VBS all week and telling children about Jesus, I realized I had never really accepted him as my personal Savior, so I became a Christian and was baptized the next Sunday after VBS. The church announced they were going to be starting a school and as they say the rest is history.
I moved to Arizona in 1997 and after teaching for a few years both in MPS and a Christian school I received my master’s from GCU and then moved into the world of school leadership. Christos is going to give me the opportunity to pull together my love of classical and Christian education. This is going to be an amazing adventure as we can show these children how much Jesus loves them every hour of every day. My heart could not be happier.
I have five grown children and seven grandchildren. I love the rare times that we can all get together as two children live in Washington, 1 lives in Oklahoma and the other 2 live here in AZ but the one with the grandchildren lives in the west valley and I live in the east valley. It is a crazy time when we are all together. My poor husband was an only child so when everyone is in town it does play havoc on him. He supports me in all my crazy ideas, and he was my greatest encourager when it came to taking this new position.
I am grateful and excited to be able to show Jesus to these children and to be part of surrounding them with his love.
