Enrollment FAQ

Please see the answers to common questions regarding enrollment at Great Hearts Christos.

Q. When and how do I apply?

A.

The online application for enrollment at Great Hearts Christos is currently open.

The application portal opens in November, and we make offers to families beginning in January.

Great Hearts Christos is committed to working with families from all backgrounds to provide access to a Christian, classical education to for the broadest number of children possible. Admission will ultimately be based on the extent to which our program can help your child succeed. Your communication to us about your child’s strengths and needs will help us better determine if our campus is the right fit for your scholar.

Q. What is the 3-stage process for enrollment?

A.

Stage 1: Application
We review every application for completeness and fit with a Christos academy:
• Commitment to the Christos Academy – Parent Partnership Agreement
• Evidence of completion of the prior grade (if not entering Kindergarten)
• No suspensions or expulsions from prior school(s)

All family responses, academic history, IEPs, and other relevant information are considered. (If your student is receiving services with a current IEP, a meeting will be scheduled with our special education staff to assess next steps.) We may request additional information during the review process. Families pledge that all responses are accurate and complete. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Stage 2: Offer of Enrollment
When the application-review process is completed, school staff will email an offer of enrollment. If more completed applications have been received than available enrollment seats your child’s application will be placed on a waitlist ordered by the date the application is approved as complete. Additional enrollment offers will be made as seats become available.

The enrollment offer will include a registration link and will list the a deadline for completing registration.

Stage 3: Registration/Enrollment
You will receive an email with instructions to submit a registration packet. The student’s birth certificate and immunization records will be required in order to submit this packet. Please note that your student is not enrolled until registration is completed, and an expired offer could mean that it is not possible to enroll (because that spot will have been offered to another student). The registration window is two weeks (10 business days); if you find that you need more time, please contact us. It may be possible for us to hold the seat open for you.

Christos does not discriminate based on race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, or tuition-reduction programs.

Q. Do I have to complete an application for each of my children?

A.

Yes, you will complete an application per child you wish to enroll in Christos.

Q. How long will I have to accept my offer of enrollment?

A.

You have two weeks (10 business days) to accept the offer and complete the enrollment process. Once the offer has been accepted, further documentation will be required and this must also be completed in that two-week time frame.

Q. Once I submit my application, how soon can I expect to receive an offer of enrollment?

A.

Offers will begin in early January and continue throughout the spring and summer while seats are available at the academy.

Q. If I have missed accepting the offer of admissions by the 10th business day what happens to my application?

A.

If you have missed accepting the offer of admissions by the deadline date, we may offer your seat to another family. This would mean that you would need to reapply for a new application with new submission date and waitlist number for another possible offer.

Q. I see a waitlist number beside my student’s name in the parent portal. What does this mean?

A.

Once a parent applies to a Christos academy, the application will be in a pending status waiting for approval from the academy. After the approval of the application, the student will be given an offer of admission or move to the waitlist for a possible offer if all seats are full for the grade/academy.

Q. How are applications ordered on the waitlist?

A.

Applications are ordered by priority status and then submission date on the waitlist. Each grade and academy have independent waitlists. To read more about the priorities, email a request for the admissions policy and procedures document.

Q. Where can I find the information on the financial policies, including tuition, financial responsibilities and payments?

A.

The financial policies can be downloaded here.

Q. If I have any questions about the application, admissions, or registration process where do I go to find answers?

A.
