Q. What is the difference between Great Hearts and Great Hearts Christian Academies?

A.

Although we share a classical education model with all Great Hearts Academies, our school offers a fundamentally different foundation and culture. At Great Hearts Christian Academies, Christ is not an addition to our curriculum; He is the lens through which all learning is understood. Our students engage daily in rich Scripture classes that ground them in biblical wisdom, worship together in chapel services that cultivate reverent hearts, and experience a Christian culture where faith is woven into every subject, from mathematics to literature to history. Additionally, our small class sizes allow for deeper pastoral care and individualized attention that reflects our belief that each child is uniquely created in God's image. While our counterparts on the charter school side do justice to a classical education model that trains the mind and heart in virtue and eloquence, they achieve this without the transformative power of the Gospel and the person of Christ as the source of all truth and wisdom. As Colossians 2:3 declares, "in [Christ] are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." This Christ-centered foundation makes all the difference in forming not just educated students, but disciples who love learning because they first love the Lord.
